We are happy to announce that Berlin Buzzwords has been accepted as a learning event. Employees who are working for a Berlin-based company (or based in Rheinland-Pfalz) have the chance to request educational leave from their employer.
Requirement for being able to apply for an educational leave is being employed in Berlin or Brandenburg respectively Rheinland-Pfalz. Well, having kind of a connection to the field of big data would be awesome as well :-)
Important: The job location is decisive and not your place of residence (e.g. you are living in Berlin but working in Cologne → unfortunately you cannot apply for an educational leave in this case!)
In the bottom part of this page you can find a document called "bildungsveranstaltung_bescheid_berlin" and "bildungsveranstaltung_bescheid_rheinlandpfalz". You have to present the application form to your employer and you need a reference number from your employment or education authority. Check out the relevant link provided by the city of Berlin. What's the next step?
With the application form you can refer to your employer. The application for exemption has to be handed in 4-6 weeks ahead of the event. You can download the example “beispielantrag_bildungsurlaub” below.
We will provide a registration confirmation with title, time period and the approval of the event format. After the conference, you will need a certificate of participation in order to propound to your employer. Please come to our accreditation counter at Berlin Buzzwords to register for the form.
